Body Contouring
The clinically approved breakthrough in medical weight loss
At YourHealthFirst Clinic, we provide medically supervised weight-management support for eligible patients seeking a structured and evidence-based approach to weight loss. Our Wimpole Street Weight Management Service in London is delivered by trained and experienced healthcare professionals, with an emphasis on appropriate patient assessment, treatment suitability, ongoing monitoring and safe use of prescription weight-management medicines.
Our clinicians assess your medical history, current medicines, health conditions, BMI and weight-management goals before deciding whether prescription treatment is appropriate.
Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, a prescription medicine that acts on two hormone receptors: GIP and GLP-1. For weight management, Mounjaro is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity in eligible adults with obesity, or adults who are overweight and have weight-related health problems. Tirzepatide works partly by regulating appetite and increasing feelings of fullness, which can help reduce food intake and support weight loss.
Mounjaro has been studied extensively in large clinical trials. In the 72-week SURMOUNT-1 study involving 2,539 adults, average weight loss was approximately 16.0% with 5mg, 21.4% with 10mg and 22.5% with 15mg — compared with approximately 2.4% in the placebo group.
Individual results vary, and clinical-trial results should not be interpreted as a guarantee of the amount of weight an individual patient will lose.
Treatment normally starts at 2.5mg once weekly. The UK product information states that the starting dose is 2.5mg once a week for four weeks, followed by an increase to 5mg once weekly.
If clinically appropriate, your prescriber may increase the dose in 2.5mg increments, with patients remaining on each dose for at least four weeks before increasing. Available adult doses include 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg. Your dose should only be changed following advice from your prescribing clinician.

A qualified prescriber determines whether Mounjaro is clinically appropriate for you.
If prescribed, you receive guidance on the appropriate starting dose, administration, lifestyle measures and monitoring.
Your progress, treatment response, side effects and dose requirements can be reviewed throughout your journey.
Weight management involves more than medication. Nutrition, physical activity, behavioural factors and sustainable lifestyle changes remain important parts of treatment.
Tirzepatide targets appetite and digestion through four complementary mechanisms.
Mounjaro can reduce hunger and food cravings, helping you manage portion sizes and overall food intake.
The medicine can help you feel fuller for longer after eating.
Tirzepatide can delay the movement of food from the stomach, contributing to feelings of fullness.
Tirzepatide also affects blood-glucose regulation through its GIP and GLP-1 activity.
Everything you need to know about mounjaro (weight loss injection) at YourHealthFirst Clinic.
After an initial consultation and health assessment to confirm suitability, you self-administer a once-weekly injection via a pre-filled pen. The dose is gradually increased over time under medical supervision.
Mounjaro is a clinically approved and extensively studied medication. It is only prescribed following a full health assessment, with ongoing monitoring throughout your programme to ensure it remains appropriate and safe for you.
Most commonly reported side effects are gastrointestinal — nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal discomfort and reduced appetite — and can be more noticeable when treatment is started or the dose is increased. Other adverse effects can occur, including gallstones, gallbladder inflammation and injection-site reactions. Severe, persistent abdominal pain, particularly if it radiates to the back and is accompanied by nausea or vomiting, requires urgent medical assessment as it may indicate acute pancreatitis.
Mounjaro is administered via a simple pre-filled pen with a very fine needle, and most patients find self-injection straightforward and minimally uncomfortable.
The starting dose is 2.5mg once a week for four weeks, followed by an increase to 5mg once weekly.
Weight reduction is progressive over the course of the programme, with meaningful results typically building from around 12 weeks and continuing through to 72 weeks.
Adults with a BMI of 30+ (or 27+ with a weight-related health condition) who have not achieved sufficient results through diet and exercise alone, and who are confirmed medically suitable following a full assessment of medical history, current medicines, health conditions and weight-management goals.
Investigational — Not Yet Available
An investigational next-generation treatment
Retatrutide is not the same medicine as Mounjaro. Retatrutide is an investigational once-weekly triple hormone receptor agonist that targets GLP-1, GIP and Glucagon. It is currently being investigated in Phase 3 clinical trials for obesity and related conditions.
Recent Phase 3 results have reported substantial weight loss in clinical-trial populations. For example, in TRIUMPH-1, participants receiving 12mg retatrutide had an average weight reduction of 28.3% at 80 weeks in the reported study population. These are investigational clinical-trial results and are not a guarantee of individual results.
Important: Retatrutide has not been approved for public use by a regulatory authority and is not currently available as a licensed prescription weight-management medicine. It is not marketed or offered as an available treatment at YourHealthFirst Clinic outside an authorised clinical trial.

Retatrutide has been nicknamed ‘Triple G’ because it targets three different receptors and hormones – GLP-1, glucagon and GIP. Glucagon and GIP are naturally released when you eat food, and play a role in reducing appetite, lowering blood sugar and helping the body burn fat.
Mounjaro acts on two hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1. Retatrutide is being investigated as a triple agonist, additionally targeting glucagon receptors. In the TRIUMPH-1 Phase 3 trial, participants receiving 12mg retatrutide had an average weight reduction of 28.3% at 80 weeks, compared with an average of 22.5% with the highest dose of Mounjaro over 72 weeks in the SURMOUNT-1 trial. These trials differ in design and duration, so a direct comparison should be treated with caution, and results are not a guarantee of individual outcomes.
In clinical trials, Retatrutide is given using a pen injector, delivered as a subcutaneous injection into the arm, thigh or stomach, once weekly, starting with a lower dose to minimise side effects.
In clinical trials, Retatrutide has been associated with side effects similar to other GLP-1/GIP medicines. Always consult your doctor, nurse or pharmacist before using any new medication.
No. Retatrutide has not been approved for public use by a regulatory authority and is not currently available as a licensed prescription weight-management medicine. We are unable to prescribe or sell Retatrutide outside an authorised clinical trial. If you are interested in a currently available, clinically approved option, please ask us about Mounjaro.
